We understand that these are tough economic times, and it is important to all of us to be sure that the money we donate reaches the hands of those in need. This is why we formed Combat Injured Troops, a pending 501 © 3 charitable organization to assist our military and their families. Our goal is to be able to help Soldiers, families or veterans in need without the bureaucracy that usually comes with larger organizations and without the administrative costs associated with other charitable groups. There are no paid salaries in the Combat Injured Troops organization.
We offer a unique program that no one else can provide – Therapy in the Air (TITA). We want to honor the men and women who have served and their families.
We have seen firsthand how skydiving with Mike Elliott’s Team allows wounded individuals to experience the freedom in the air that they no longer have on the ground. It is awesome to watch these men and women laughing and smiling and loving life, in spite of their injuries or handicaps. Other projects include building handicap ramps for homes, monetary support for travel and lodging during family emergencies, and general support when other channels are not an option.
